The Wellmark Drug List Opens in a new window helps your employees make smart decisions at the pharmacy. It guides them through what prescription drugs are covered — and how they’re covered — by your company’s pharmacy benefit plan from Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield. It’s also developed to guide physicians, pharmacists and other health care professionals to cost-effective, safe medications.
This helpful tool includes the entire Wellmark Drug List, which is any prescription drug or device that’s been approved by the Wellmark Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) Committee. What's a drug tier or level?
Covered drugs are grouped into tiers or levels, which determines how much your employee will pay at the pharmacy. The higher the tier or level, the more the drug will cost.
Generics and brand-name drugs are both covered. However, if a generic option is available, the employee may be required to pay more if the brand-name drug is dispensed instead.
