Wellmark named Des Moines’s Best Health Insurer for 29th straight year

DES MOINES, Iowa — Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield has been recognized as the Best Health Insurance Company for 2025 by the Business Record, an honor the company has held for nearly three decades.

Each year, the Business Record invites its readers to cast their votes for organizations and individuals who demonstrate outstanding service in their industries and the community. The results, published in the Sept. 19 “Best of Des Moines” edition, celebrate those who set the standard for excellence.
