Understand Medicare Advantage Coverage
What is Medicare Advantage?
Medicare Advantage, also known as Medicare Part C, combines traditional Medicare — parts A and B — along with additional health-enhancing benefits into one comprehensive, easy-to-manage plan. Plans often include coverage for prescription drugs, routine vision and eyewear coverage, dental coverage, hearing aids, fitness memberships, over-the-counter medications/supplies and clinical support.
Medicare Advantage could be a good fit if you:
- Prefer the convenience of an all-in-one plan.
- Pay a low or $0 monthly premium in exchange for copays and coinsurance when you need care.
- Travel a lot, and/or live somewhere else in the U.S. for part of the year, and are comfortable with going to the specific doctors, health care providers and hospitals that are available in a plan network for your routine care while away from home.
