Sherwin Robinson

Vice President, Underwriting | Wellmark

As the company's vice president of underwriting, Sherwin Robinson provides leadership, including strategic and operational direction, for Wellmark's underwriting function with a focus on continuously innovating to evolve and develop methodologies and tools in support of a consultative underwriting model.

Prior to joining Wellmark, Sherwin served as chief underwriter with Priority Health and before that, served as regional vice president of underwriting with Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. Sherwin is an accomplished health care executive with more than 28 years in the field of underwriting and has proven success in leading change and leveraging strengths to build high-performing teams through innovation.

Sherwin graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from Norfolk State University in Norfolk, Virginia. He also earned a Master of Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University. In addition, he holds a Certified Healthcare Insurance Executive designation and is a graduate of the Professional Academy for Healthcare Management.
