Cinnamon raisin quick bread

Kids and adults alike will love this easy, tasty quick bread.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup (1 stick) butter, melted, plus more for greasing the pan
  • 1 ½ cups whole-wheat flour
  • 1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • ⅓ cup maple syrup
  • ¼ cup raisins

Cook

Preheat the oven to 325°F. Grease a 5 X 9-inch loaf pan with butter and set aside. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cinnamon, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Using a fork, mix in the eggs, applesauce, melted butter and syrup until well combined, making sure not to over mix. Gently fold in the raisins. Spoon the mixture into the prepared loaf pan. Bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, 45 to 55 minutes.
