Lightened-up cheese spread

Instead of your standard cheeseball, try this lightened-up dip during your next family game night.


  • 1 8-ounce package light cream cheese, room temperature
  • ½ teaspoon celery salt
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • ¼ cup canned, crushed pineapple, drained
  • 2–3 green onions, minced
  • ¼ cup sliced almonds (optional)


Mix the cream cheese, seasonings and mustard until smooth. Stir in the green onions and pineapple. Spoon the mixture onto a piece of plastic wrap and mold into a ball, then refrigerate for 30 minutes. When ready to eat, roll in almonds.


Serve with whole wheat crackers and fresh-cut vegetables.
