Yes. If you are registered to receive an 835, one will be produced no matter how the claims are received by Wellmark (on paper or electronically).

No, remittances available on wellmark.com (equivalent to paper PCRs) have fewer fields populated than those sent electronically. The 835 format is design to auto-post to your accounts receivable system. Other remittances require manually posting and therefore are in a more ‘reader friendly' format.

The PCRs are available on Wellmark.com for providers to access. However, the 835 will contain more complete information.

No, you must use a separate EFT form Secure Site. The form can also be found on the Provider claims & payment page.

Availity will provide an initial receipt of the claims with acceptance or rejection on the 277CA for each claim submitted to Wellmark.

Submitters are required to send claims in a HIPAA-compliant format (ANSI 837x5010 transaction).
