Yes. If you are registered to receive an 835, one will be produced no matter how the claims are received by Wellmark (on paper or electronically).

No, remittances available on wellmark.com (equivalent to paper PCRs) have fewer fields populated than those sent electronically. The 835 format is design to auto-post to your accounts receivable system. Other remittances require manually posting and therefore are in a more ‘reader friendly' format.

As of 8/1/2013, paper PCRs will no longer be issued.  The PCRs are available on wellmark.com for providers to access. However, the 835 will contain more complete information.

No, there is a separate EFT form available on Wellmark.com.

The first available report is the TXN which is an accept/reject report based on standard format and patient eligibility. The second report available is the Z16 which is an accept/reject report based on payer specifications.

Submitters are required to send claims in a HIPAA-compliant format (ANSI 837x4010A1 transaction).
