Wellmark works alongside universities in Iowa and South Dakota to inspire sports fans to eat right, move more and feel better. Here's how it works:
Each time a successful field goal is kicked or a three-point shot is made, nominated hometowns have a chance to receive funding to put towards building vibrant, active communities. Since 2010, the program has raised more than $900,000 to support health projects.
