GRAND BLUE MILE
Created by Wellmark and the Drake Relays, the Grand Blue Mile External Site encourages healthy habits and empowers positive change. It's become the Midwest's premier all-ages community race. Held annually since 2010, the event has attracted more than 30,000 participants from 31 states and regularly hosts the USA 1 Mile Road Championships in conjunction with USA Track & Field.
WELLMARK'S 3-POINT PLAY
Wellmark's 3-Point Play teams with universities in Iowa and South Dakota to inspire sports fans to eat right, move more and feel better. Since 2010, the program has raised more than $850,000 to support health projects that help build vibrant, active communities.
Wellmark Family Series
Since first appearing on stage in 2009, the Wellmark Family Series, produced by Des Moines Performing Arts External Site and the Washington Pavilion External Site, has provided professional and affordable live theater experiences to thousands of families.
The Iowa Sports Foundation
The Iowa Sports Foundation External Site and its cornerstone programs — the Iowa Games, Iowa Senior Games, Live Healthy Iowa, and Adaptive Sports Iowa — represent the very best in sports, recreation and wellness offerings for all Iowans of all abilities.
Sioux Falls Youth Triathlon
Organized by Sioux Falls Parks & Recreation, the annual Sioux Falls Youth Triathlon External Site provides fun and accessible fitness opportunities to hundreds of children and teens in eastern South Dakota.
