Alliance SelectSM Premium Saver Plans (Groups 2-50)
Created with the small business owner in mind, Alliance Select Premium
Saver plans include popular plan features like broad network access and
preventive benefits — without the add-ons that can increase your
premium costs.
How It Works
Alliance Select Premium Saver plans take advantage of The Blues® extensive
provider networks to help you control your costs. They
also include built-in cost-sharing features to deliver even more savings.
For example,
the
plans have a tiered copay design for office exams — employees
pay a lower copay for primary care, and a higher one for specialist
care. There
are also two levels of coinsurance, with a higher level of benefits for
using in-network providers.
Any time they need medical services, employees have the freedom to
access care in- or out-of-network without a referral. This includes the
BlueCard network for out-of-area care.
Highlights
- Lower-cost coverage that maintains valued benefits. Plans
include built-in cost-saving design features, like a tiered copay design
for
office exams — but
still include valued benefits like prescription drug coverage and preventive
care.
- Network strength. With 99 percent of Iowa physicians and 100
percent of Iowa’s hospitals participating in the Alliance Select network,
employees won’t have any trouble finding a network provider or facility.
- In- or out-of-network coverage. Employees maximize their benefits
by choosing an Alliance Select provider, but have the freedom to visit
providers outside the network if they’re willing to share more of the
cost of their care.
- Coverage anywhere via BlueCard. If employees need care away
from home, they're covered by the Blue Card network, with more than
6,000 hospitals and 635,000 doctors worldwide.
