Health & Wellness Programs
Whole Health Dimensions
Whole Health Dimensions is Wellmark's comprehensive suite of wellness
and health management programs focused on helping your employees lead
healthier lives — wherever they are along the health spectrum from
wellness to illness.
According to a recent survey:1
- Preventable illnesses make up approximately 70 percent of the total
costs of illness.
- Companies with a health and productivity strategy actually boost
their bottom line.
- In particular, organizations that invest in multiple best practices
and integrate health and productivity programs are reducing costs and
lost time (both the rate and the duration of absences) as well as improving
employee health.
Whole Health Dimensions is standard with Wellmark's health plans for
fully insured groups and available for self-funded groups to purchase.
This integrated solution includes:
- Personal Health Assistant 24/7. Registered nurses and other
health professionals are available 24/7 via phone to connect your employees
to the health care help they need.
- Decision support. Provides employees with information, services,
and tools to help them make wise health care choices.
- Wellness services. Helps employees and their families develop
healthier behaviors. Available programs include a Personal Health Assessment
and online programs based on results, onsite health screenings, worksite
program delivery, and telephonic coaching for employees who may be
at special risk or need extra help improving their health.
- Pharmacy management. Offers full-service pharmacy benefits
management, making sure prescriptions are safe and effective, and keeping
drug costs down.
- Utilization management. Focuses on delivering the right
care, at the right time and place, to provide the best value for your
health care dollar.
- Pregnancy care. Helps keep women well through pregnancy
and deliver a healthy start for babies.
