Advantages for Your Employees

  • Portability – Blue Priority HSAs are your employees’ accounts, so the account balances remain theirs to use even if they change health plans or leave your employment
  • Tax savings – Employee contributions to the Blue Priority HSA may be made through pre-tax* payroll reductions if you provide this option through a section-125 cafeteria plan or through direct tax-deductible contributions
  • Control – Employees can use the dollars in the Blue Priority HSA to pay for any qualified medical expense, as defined by the Internal Revenue Service. There is no need for preauthorization of services or submission of receipts. Employees may also direct how their Blue Priority HSA balances are invested
  • Savings – Unused Blue Priority HSA dollars remain in the account from one year to the next. Investment earnings are not taxed* in the Blue Priority HSA
  • Access to information – On wellmark.com, your employees have access to a variety of confidential and convenient online tools and resources to help them manage their Blue Priority HSAs effectively and efficiently
