Edward R. Lynn

Edward Lynn served as president and chief executive officer of Jennie Edmundson Memorial Hospital in Council Bluffs for nearly 30 years, before being named president emeritus in 1995. He received his bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Illinois, and his master’s degree in hospital administration from the University of Minnesota.

He is a diplomat in the American College of Hospital Administrators. He is also very involved in the greater-Council Bluffs community, serving on the board of directors of the following: Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo, Council Bluffs Public Library Foundation, National Western Historical Trails Center, Inc., Council Bluffs Senior Center, and the Council Bluffs Nonpareil. In addition, he is a member of the Council Bluffs Rotary and the Iowa Committee for Employer Support of Guard and Reserve.
