eBilling and ePayment Frequently Asked Questions

Fully Insured Groups

Q. What billing statements are available to view and pay online?
A. Your Wellmark Health and Flex billing statements (as applicable) are available to both view and pay online.

 

Q. How will I know my billing statement is available to view online?
A. Once you have been assigned the appropriate role by your designated security coordinated and have logged into the eBilling and ePayment system, you will receive an e-mail notification every time a billing statement is available to view.

 

Q. Can I view prior billing statements online?
A. Yes. The Prior Billing Statements page displays billing statements prior to the current billing period. This page displays up to 36 months of history.

 

Q. Will I get paper copies of billing statements also?
A. Ninety days after your group begins viewing and/or paying online, you will no longer receive paper billing statements and you will only receive the Wellmark e-mail notification that your billing statement is available online.

 

Q. What information will I be able to download?
A. You will be able to download any detail portion of your bill into a CSV (Excel) format. You will also be able to view your entire bill in PDF format.

 

Q. What online payment options are available?
A. You may elect to pay your billing statements on demand or you may set up automatic payments. Paying with a credit card is also an option via a link to the NCO Group, Inc. (NCO) website, an independent entity. Additional fees may be charged by NCO.

 

Q. Why would I be interested in automatic payments?
A. The automatic payment option allows payments to be made for you on-time, every time. You will also be able to simplify your finances and more easily track your payment activity. You will not only save time, but also save on administrative costs (checks, postage, etc.).

 

Q. What is the cutoff time for making payments online?
A. Payments must be scheduled online by 2:00 PM Central Time Monday – Friday (federal bank holidays excluded) to have a same-day Payment Date. Payments made after 2:00 PM Central Time will be considered paid the next business day that is not a federal banking holiday. For payments made after 2:00 PM Central Time on the 5th of the month, applicable late fees may apply.

 

Q. Will I be able to view my payment activity online?
A. Yes. Payments made online will immediately be displayed in payment activity. Any additional payments made by check or direct wire from your bank will also display once you begin utilizing the eBilling and ePayment system and can take up to 5-7 days after the posting date to display.

 

Q. Am I required to store my bank account information online?
A. No. You can choose to make your payments on demand and enter your bank account information each time. If you choose to set up an automatic payment, your bank account information must be saved.

Q. If I make adjustments to my billing statement are the changes made to Wellmark's membership system automatically?
A. No. Please follow your standard membership guidelines and procedures to submit all membership adds and contract changes to Wellmark in order for the update to occur appropriately.

 

Q. Will my adjustments show on my next billing statement?
A. Yes. Any adjustments you submit to Wellmark will carry forward and display on the next available billing statement (assuming ample time is given before the next billing statement is generated).

Flex

Q. What billing statements are available to view and pay online?
A. Your Flex Administration billing statements are available to both view and pay online. Flexible Benefits funding reports are also available to view and pay online.

 

Q. How will I know my billing statement is available to view online?
A. Once you have been assigned the appropriate role by your designated security coordinated and have logged into the eBilling and ePayment system, you will receive an e-mail notification every time a billing statement is available to view.

 

Q. Can I view prior billing statements online?
A. Yes. The Prior Billing Statements page displays billing statements prior to the current billing period. This page displays up to 36 months of history.

Once you register for eBilling and ePayment and log in to your account, you will no longer receive paper billing statements and you will only receive the Wellmark e-mail notification that your billing statement is available. Q. Why should a group consider signing up for this new BlueConnection tool?
A. A group will be able to view their billing statements much faster if they don't currently view their statements online. This new tool provides fast and flexible online payments options as well. This will allow a group to more simply manage their finances and have more time to focus on their organization instead of spending hours tracking paper files and documents.
