Incent and Reward Best Practices for Primary Care Clinicians Who Meet Performance Measures

Wellmark's Incent and Reward Best Practices program recognizes and rewards participating primary care clinicians in Iowa and South Dakota who demonstrate their commitment to providing diabetes care that is in line with national guidelines and other recognized quality care measures. These clinicians have also agreed to share their performance information with members, employers and other providers as early as January 2008. Clinicians who meet clinical performance and patient outcome measures are eligible for special recognition, including potential financial rewards.
