Credentialing: Ongoing Monitoring

During the three years that a practitioner is credentialed, Wellmark performs ongoing monitoring activities that include review of the following:

• Medicare and Medicaid sanctions
• Licensure limitations, sanctions, or citations
• Member complaint data
• Risk Management or adverse events

Ongoing monitoring is done to ensure that the Wellmark networks continue to be composed of practitioners of the highest quality.
