Attend one of our Iowa videoconference locations on July 22, 2008, or South Dakota videoconference locations on August 5, 2008, to:

Learn how to use modifiers correctly.
Receive detailed explanation and examples of coding with each CPT modifier.
Find out which modifiers apply to only certain types of codes.
Discover how modifiers affect iCap edits.
Receive information about frequently used HCPCS modifiers.

Presenter

Sue Smith, MS, CPC, CPC-H, is a Provider Education and Training Consultant for Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield. She has worked with insurance coding and billing issues for over 25 years in claims, customer service, management, and training capacities.

Sue has taught CPT and ICD-9 coding classes to provider audiences in Iowa and South Dakota and has facilitated Certified Professional Coder (CPC) preparation classes. She was a founding member and officer of the central Iowa chapter of the American Association of Professional Coders (AAPC). Sue currently holds the CPC and CPC-H designations.

Cost

The fee is $50 per person. Make checks payable to Wellmark. We also accept cash but are unable to process credit card payments. Fees will be collected when you arrive at the videoconference; please do not mail a check to Wellmark.

CEUs

This program has prior approval of the American Academy of Professional Coders for 3.0 Continuing Education Units. Granting of this approval in no way constitutes endorsement by the Academy of the program, its content, or the program sponsor.

Registration

Please register by July 15 for Iowa locations & July 29 for South Dakota locations. If a location is cancelled due to low registrations, we will notify those registered. Class size is limited in some locations.
