Flexible Benefits Service Improvements
Look for a number of improvements from a July 10 upgrade to Wellmark’s flexible benefits administration system. More claim details will be included on reimbursement payments, making it easier for flex plan participants to maintain their account. On Wellmark’s flexible benefits Web site myflexonline.com, employees can view elected benefits and complete and submit claim forms — a convenient new feature that greatly speeds up the claims process. (The new system generates a pre-populated claim form users can print off and mail or fax with proper documentation to Wellmark’s Flexible Benefits department.) The system upgrade will also result in a few minor administrative changes:
APPLICATION OF CHECK MINIMUM – The check minimum of $25 will now be “turned off” for all groups at two different times during the year — once at the end of the plan year, and again at the end of the runout period. This allows flex accounts to be cleared of their final balance.
DATE OF BIRTH NEEDED FOR WEB ACCESS – New users of Wellmark’s flexible benefits Web site www.myflexonline.com need to enter their date of birth for online access to their flexible spending account. IDs and passwords remain unchanged for
current users.
NEW SPECIFICATIONS FOR ELECTRONIC DEMONGRAPHIC FILES – There are several changes to electronic demographic files for flex plan set up and maintenance. Group administrators that use this feature should have received a separate communication detailing these specifications. |

Pharmacy Reminders
Last month we introduced you to Pharmacy InsightsSM and Catalyst Rx® — Wellmark’s new pharmacy benefit manager. Now that the July 1 pharmacy transition is complete, here are a few reminders to share with your employees:
ID CARDS – All employees should be using the new Wellmark ID cards they received in the mail with Rx BIN 005947 on the front and Catalyst Rx on the back.
MAIL SERVICE PHARMACY – Employees who used Caremark’s mail service program in 2006 received letters in June about how to enroll in Walgreens Mail Service program. Updated mail service information and forms are now on www.wellmark.com.
NEW PHARMACY PAPER CLAIM FORMS – If your employee uses a non-contracting pharmacy and needs to file a paper claim, new drug card and CMM (comprehensive major medical) pharmacy claim forms can be downloaded from www.wellmark.com.
NEW BLUECONNECTION PHARMACY TOOLS – Encourage your employees to check out the the new BlueConnection Pharmacy Tools on www.wellmark.com. We’ll tell you more about these cool new tools in the August issue of NEWS FROM BLUE. |

Fresh, New Look for Wellmark.com
When you visit www.wellmark.com, you’ll notice a new look that’s clean and easy to navigate, more user-friendly, and you can log in directly from this page.
CHANGES ON THE EMPLOYER PAGE – The biggest change you'll notice on the Employer page is where you log in - now located in a blue box on the right side of the page. Click on Access Your Tools in the BlueConnection® box, and once you log in, you’ll get direct access to services and tools to manage your plan and assist your employees. BlueConnection Employer tools provide around-the-clock access to claims, member records, and plan information. You can also use the Employer Toolkit to order Decisions Count® health literacy materials to share with your employees.
ALSO CHECK OUT THE NEW MEMBER FEATURES – New myhealth@wellmark Private Member Online Services give your employees a number of ways to find “real-time” answers about their health care benefits. HealthyLiving, powered by WebMD®, offers health news, research, search features, interactive quizzes, and more.
