New Iowa Legislation Expands Eligibility for Young Adult Children on Their Parents’ Health Care Coverage
The new law states that unmarried children will be permitted to remain covered on their parents’ health care coverage either up to age 25 or as long as they remain a full-time student. As of July 1, 2008, Wellmark will apply new legislation to large group fully insured plans as well as large group fully insured & self-funded public entity plans.
