Early detection and prevention is key
to keeping health care costs down. We send postcards to remind many
of our members to see their health care provider for these preventive
services:
- Childhood immunizations. Members receive
an immunization schedule when their baby is born and reminders
when the child turns 12 months and 18 months.
|
 |
- Adolescent immunizations. Reminder postcards
are sent for children when they celebrate their 10th, 11th and
12th birthdays.
- Cervical cancer exams. Female members
receive postcards during their birth month to remind them to
schedule
a well-female exam.
- Mammograms. Female members who are
40 years or older receive a postcard during their birth month
encouraging
them to schedule a mammogram.
- Diabetic retinal eye exam. Members
with diabetes, who are 30 years or older, receive a postcard
reminding
them to get a dilated retinal eye exam.
