Company newsletters are an excellent way to present your health care cost messages.

Newsletter tips

Here are some tips for incorporating health care cost messages into your newsletters:

  • Employees respond favorably when they see a familiar name in a story. Where possible, incorporate names of company representatives in each story.

  • Modify the stories as necessary so they speak in your “corporate voice.” If they sound like they are “canned” stories from an insurance company, they won’t be as effective.

  • Where appropriate, tie the placement of stories to activities going on within your company. For example, if you are sponsoring a walking program, choose a complementary article.
