Secure E-Message

Replying/Composing

As a registered user of Wellmark's Secure E-Message services, you can securely access your Wellmark Secure E-Message mailbox at anytime by selecting the link within a Wellmark Secure E-Message notification or by logging in to your Secure E-Message mailbox (does not allow a registration for new account option).

Below are the steps you can take in order to:

Read E-Messages From Wellmark

To access and read past e-messages:

1. Select the Inbox tab. A list of your secure e-messages will return on the page.
2. Open an e-message by selecting an e-message subject link.
3. Use the Download button contained within the e-message to read an attachment.

Reply to the Sender

To reply to a Wellmark employee:

1. Open an e-message.
2. Select the Reply button to send a secure reply to the sender. A reply form returns on the page with the To and Subject fields automatically completed for you.
Note: You may foward a secure e-message to a Wellmark employee. If you try to forward to anyone else, you will receive an error message. Forwarding e-messages is secure.
3. Type your reply in the Message field.
4. Options:
  • To attach a document to your reply, select the Attach File button, under the message field, and follow the prompts.
  • To set an e-message priority, select the Down Arrow button on the priority field, then select the appropriate priority.
5. Select the Send button when you are ready to send your secure e-message.

Compose a New Secure E-Message to a Wellmark Employee

In order to compose and send a new secure e-message, you must know the e-mail address of a Wellmark employee. You may go directly to your Secure E-Message mailbox (does not allow a registration for new account option) or you may use the link in a Secure E-Message notification you have received from Wellmark.
To compose a new e-message to a Wellmark employee:

1. Select the Compose tab. A compose form returns on the page.
2. Type in the Wellmark employee e-mail address in the To field and a brief description in the Subject field.
3. Compose your message in the Message field.
4. Options:
  • To attach a document to your composed e-message, select the Attach File button, under the message field, and follow the prompts.
  • To set an e-message priority, select the Down Arrow button on the priority field, then select the appropriate priority.
5. Select the Send button when you are ready to send your secure e-message.

Save a Message as a Draft

You can save a new message or a reply as a draft and complete it at a later time by using the Drafts folder.

1. Select the Save Draft button, on the Compose or Reply form. Your message is saved in the Drafts folder.
2. To complete your e-message, select the Drafts tab at the top of the page. A list of your unsent draft e-messages returns on the page showing the e-message subject and saved date.
3. Select a message by choosing its subject link.

If ... Then ...
Your draft is orginally:
  • An e-message using the Compose tab,
The draft will open in the Compose page.
  • An e-message using the Reply tab,
The draft will open in the Reply page.

4. Select the Send button, when you are ready to send your secure e-message.

After a draft is sent, it is removed from the Drafts folder. You can review the message in the Sent Mail folder.
