The Community Wellness Program is first-of-its kind outreach model to engage members in prevention and healthy lifestyle activities. It’s also a link to Whole Health Dimensions®, the suite of health and wellness programs Wellmark offers to improve member health.
A focus on wellness can significantly impace a company's bottom line, particularly since employee well-being can weigh big on productivity. Through interactive workshops and other forums, Community Wellness Coordinators (CWCs) lead employers through practical strategies for implementing health initiatives in their company as a way to help increase productivity and decrease health costs.
At the employee level, CWCs offer seminars on healthy lifestyle activies and assist employees in using the health and wellness tools Wellmark health plans provide.
