Maple glazed brussels sprouts

Serves 6



1 ¼ lbs Brussels sprouts, frozen
1 ½ Tbsp margarine, trans-fat free
6 Tbsp maple syrup
3 Tbsp water
⅛ tsp vegetable base, low sodium
⅛ tsp salt
⅛ tsp black pepper



Melt margarine in a pot or skillet. Add maple syrup. Add Brussels sprouts, vegetable base, salt and pepper; simmer until liquid has reduced by half and temperature is 145 degrees.
