Maple glazed brussels sprouts

Serves 6

Ingredients

1 1/4 lbs Brussels sprouts, frozen
1 1/2 Tbsp margarine, trans-fat free
6 Tbsp maple syrup
3 Tbsp water
1/8 tsp vegetable base, low sodium
1/8 tsp salt
1/8 tsp black pepper

 

Directions

Melt margarine in a pot or skillet. Add maple syrup. Add Brussels sprouts, vegetable base, salt and pepper; simmer until liquid has reduced by half and temperature is 145 degrees.
