Monthly Quick Tip
Keep those login credentials to yourself. We know it’s natural for people to consider sharing user names and passwords with colleagues. When it comes to protecting our members, however, Wellmark takes this very seriously. In fact, Wellmark will immediately delete the access of any organization whose main DSC has shared his or her credentials with another person. Learn more on our Provider DSC Responsibilities page.
Save time by checking accumulations online
Our new instructional video on checking benefit accumulations couldn’t have come at a better time! More providers are using the Check Member Information tool now that some Wellmark plans do not allow a copay to be collected if the out-of-pocket maximum has been met. The video is only a few minutes long. Check it out and share the link with your colleagues to start saving time today!
Web inquiry attachment feature coming soon
You spoke and we listened! A new feature is being added to Wellmark’s tool for submitting secure inquiries. Whether you’re working within the Check a Claim tool or simply submitting a secure question, you’ll soon be able to attach supporting documents directly to your inquiries. Forget the fax machine and the postage; simply upload your files and submit your inquiry. Look for more information in March.
Have you noticed differences in your PCRs?
If you access your Online Provider Claims Remittances (PCRs) through our secure provider page, look for some changes in 2014. As Wellmark transitions more members into new products in Iowa and South Dakota, providers will access separate Online PCRs – one for members with coverage carried over from existing plans, and another for members covered by our new products.
