2006-2011 CoQ Primary Care Program Comparative Results

Primary care clinicians who participate in the Collaboration on Quality® (CoQ) program earn financial rewards for providing high quality, evidence-based patient care. Thousands of primary care physicians in Iowa and South Dakota have participated in the program since its launch in 2006. The number of members served during the first six years of this program grew each year, which is a positive development for individual and population health. This page features results from the 2006-2011 period of the CoQ program.

The charts on this page reflect data pulled from MDinsight, a tool which is populated by data submitted by clinicians participating in the CoQ program. The charts do not include data from clinicians with zero patients in a particular suite. For a comparative representation of the results from 2010 and beyond, please click here.

In 2011, the CoQ program began screening all adult members for body mass index (BMI). If a member’s BMI was equal to or greater than 25, a fasting glucose was expected to be performed. For any member age 40 years and older, a Framingham risk assessment was performed.
