Effective Oct. 14, 2012, Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield will implement the clarified ancillary claims filing rules released by the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association for durable medical equipment suppliers, independent clinical laboratories, and orthotics and prosthetics.

To help you with this change, Wellmark has added a section to its Claims and Payments Web page about the new ancillary claims guidelines.  

The Claims Filing billing guide has also been updated with the new ancillary claims guidelines.
