Grill the Heart Healthy Way

Fruit Kabobs
2 kiwi, peeled and quartered
¼ of a seedless watermelon, cut into 1-inch cubes
2 bananas, cut into 1 inch slices
½ of a fresh pineapple, cut into 1-inch chunks

Glaze:
1 T brown sugar
2 T maple syrup
¼ tsp ground cinnamon
¼ tsp cocktail bitters
Dash of ground red pepper

Combine glaze ingredients in a small bowl, mix well and set aside. Thread fruit onto skewers. Brush kabobs with glaze. Reserve remaining glaze. Spray grill with cooking spray. Place kabobs on grill over medium-hot coals. Cook for about 3 minutes on each side. Remove from grill, drizzle with remaining glaze. Makes 4 servings.

Nutritional info per serving: 146 calories, 1 g fat, negligible saturated fat, 6 percent of calories from fat, 0 cholesterol, 3.5 g dietary fiber
