As cooler weather approaches, the season for being sick isn't far behind. This year, the seasonal influenza (flu) vaccine protects against not only the influenza B virus, but the H1N1 and H3N2 viruses as well. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends a yearly flu vaccination as the first and most important step in protecting against the flu for everyone 6 months of age and older.
