Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act-Administrative Simplification (HIPAA-AS)

HIPAA-AS focuses on:

  • Protecting workers who changed jobs against loss of health insurance coverage or from being subject to new health insurance coverage exclusions for pre-existing medical conditions.
  • Provisions addressing health care fraud and abuse
  • Revisions to the federal tax code A
  • Administrative simplification
