Individual New Agent Training

Agenda

All newly appointed agents are required to attend Individual New Agent Training within 120 days of their appointment. The class will cover the basics of all individual  health products.

(Note: Lunch provided) 

Lunch: 12:00–12:30 p.m.
Class:  12:30 – 4:30 p.m.

Medicare Certification and Training

Wellmark is responsible for ensuring all agents selling MedicareBlue^SM Rx and MedicareBlue^SM PPO coverage follow the Medicare Marketing Guidelines as established by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

2012 MedicareBlue Rx (PDP) and MedicareBlue PPO (Regional PPO) Certification

MedicareBlue Rx (PDP) and MedicareBlue PPO (Regional PPO)— Creditable Production
All agents must be certified prior to marketing and/or selling 2012 MedicareBlue Rx (PDP) and MedicareBlue PPO (Regional PPO) products.

2012 Medicare Certification and Training

Taking the 2012 MedicareBlue Online Training Course - Information on 2012 MedicareBlue Online Training Course coming soon.

Wellmark will register each appointed agent and set-up their log in information. To take the course, complete the following steps:

• Review the 2012 MedicareBlue Solutions Certification Login Instructions and Technical Support Information 
• Review the 2012 Certification FAQ 
• Access PinPoint Global to complete the online training 
• Log in
  • User Name: Agent’s National Producer Number (NPN)
  • Temporary Password: Wellmark + agent’s NPN (example: wellmark999999) all in lowercase letters
• Optional: Turn off or adjust audio by selecting the volume icon located in the lower right corner of your screen
• Complete AHIP Medicare Training:  This course requires online payment of $100 to complete. (If you have completed the AHIP course through another carrier, you will still need to click on this module to access the AHIP site for Wellmark verification at no additional charge.)
  • You will have a total of three attempts to pass the exam.  After the third attempt, you will be required to take the entire AHIP course again including paying the fee of $100
  • Optional – CEC are available for this course.   Instructions are included in the AHIP course.
• Complete FWA BCBS course
• Complete MedicareBlue Enrollment and Disenrollment course
• Complete MedicareBlue Products course
• Click Print Certification after you have successfully completed all courses 

Important Passing Criteria

The AHIP online course includes the following lessons:

A. Overview Medicare Programs Basics
B. Medicare Health Plans
C. Medicare Parts D Prescription Drug Coverage
D. Marketing Medicare Advantage and Part D Plans
E. Enrollment Guidance for Medicare Advantage and Part D Plans

F. 50 Question AHIP Exam

• The AHIP exam requires a passing score of 90%.  You will have a total of three attempts to pass the exam.  After the third attempt, you will be required to take the entire AHIP course again including paying the fee of $100.

The required courses for product specific training include the following lessons:

A. MedicareBlue Enrollment and Disenrollment Course

B. FWA - BCBS

C. MedicareBlue Products

D. 15 Question Exam

• This exam requires a passing score of 85%

Small Business New Agent Training

Agenda

All newly appointed agents are required to attend Small Business New Agent Training within 120 days of their appointment. The class will cover the basics of small business health products. (Note: Breakfast & lunch provided) 

Registration: 8:30 – 9:00 a.m.
Class:  9:00 – 12:00 p.m.

Lunch: 12:00 – 12:30 p.m.

Spring Training

Wellmark is excited to announce the following CEC training opportunities.  You can plan to attend all three courses or just attend the one you are interested in.  The courses will be offered in the order listed be low:

New Product Launch (1 CEC Course # 81500 – This training session will announce Wellmark’s newest product offering.

Individual Market Updates (1 CEC Course # 81530) – This training session will help you better understand Ways to guide your customer to the correct plans that fits their situation during the April 1^st re-rate.

Ethic Dilemmas (1 CEC Course # 80767) – This training course will give you an opportunity to discuss situations with your colleagues and work together to find ethical ways to handle them.
