PIERRE, SD – The American Cancer Society and Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield of South Dakota will host a seminar in November to improve health in South Dakota businesses and communities.
The Healthy Businesses/Healthy Communities Seminar will be held Tuesday, November 3, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Best Western Ramkota Hotel, 920 W. Sioux Avenue in Pierre.
Charlene Lund, American Cancer Society community relations coordinator, will present the Society’s Great American Health Challenge, an integrated health initiative focused on receiving preventive screenings, incorporating good nutrition and physical fitness into the daily routine, and encouraging smoking cessation.
Andrew Carlson, a Wellmark community wellness coordinator, will also deliver three popular Wellmark health improvement presentations:
- Building a Healthy Workplace: Ready, Set, Go
- Managing Your Stress
- Walking Works
