The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has released new proposed rules on health care reform on the following:

  • Consistent policies and processes for eligibility notices and appeals in Medicaid, the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), and Exchanges
  • Give states more flexibility when operating their Medicaid programs

The proposed rules allow for public comments. The comment period ends on February 13, 2013. Wellmark is currently reviewing the proposed rule and upon completion will release additional information.
